How it works

Private by design
Most online PDF editors upload your document to their servers. Ours doesn’t — the editor runs inside your browser, so contracts, bank statements, ID scans and other sensitive documents never leave your machine. This is enforced by a Content-Security-Policy that blocks the page from talking to any third-party server. Read more in our privacy policy.

Is this PDF editor really free?
Yes — completely free, with no sign-up, no watermarks and no page limits. All the work happens on your own device, so it costs us almost nothing to offer, and there is no catch.
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. The editor runs entirely in your browser. Your file is opened and edited in your browser's memory and never transmitted anywhere. Our pages ship a Content-Security-Policy that makes the browser block requests to other origins, so this is enforced technically, not just promised.
What can I edit in a PDF?
You can add text boxes, highlights, rectangles, ellipses, lines, freehand drawings and images; reorder, rotate and delete pages; and combine several PDFs into one. Edits are drawn on top of the page — the tool does not rewrite the PDF's existing text.
Can I change text that is already in the PDF?
Not directly — editing embedded text reliably requires rebuilding the document's fonts and layout. The practical approach, which this tool supports well, is to cover the old text with a white rectangle and type replacement text over it.
What happens to my edits when I download?
Everything you added is flattened — permanently drawn into the page content. The downloaded PDF looks the same in every viewer, and your annotations cannot be accidentally moved or deleted later.
Does it work with non-English text like ₹ amounts?
Yes — text boxes support the rupee sign and European characters via an embedded Unicode font. Full Indic scripts (Devanagari, Tamil, etc.) are not supported yet.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The editor supports touch — drag, resize, draw and pinch-to-zoom all work on Android and iPhone. Very large PDFs are limited by your device's memory.
Are password-protected PDFs supported?
No — encrypted PDFs cannot be edited. Remove the password first, then load the file.
